    Pikmin 4 is such a fun game to play. It has many ingredients that make it great, fun gameplay, colourful bright graphics and a cute puppy. Now my experience with the series may be a bit more limited to some more hardcore fans as I’ve only played one other game in the series. But from what I’ve played this is easily the best in the series.The single player will give you hours of content and the Dandori mode which is basically a Versus mode that you can play with friends. Now there’s no co-op during the main story but honestly I don’t find that to be much of a loss since all Pikmin games are primarily single player experiences to begin with. Would it had been nice? Sure but it’s not a deal breaker.The game is an excellent Real time strategy game. You control a legion of plant like creatures called Pikmin that you use to fight, carry treasure and parts to repair your ship. They come in different varieties, Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Rock, Fly, Ice, White and Glow Pikmin. Each Pikmin has there strengths and weaknesses with different abilities. You can carry up to 3 different kinds of Pikmin on the field and the maximum total number of 20 to start but expands as you find upgrades. This allows for tons of different ways to play the game.There is a set time in a way. Each day you have a set time limit to explore and once the time runs out the day will end and move on to the next expedition day to further explore. Now this sounds stressful but it really isn’t. The game gives you unlimited number of days to explore, it only limits how much you can explore on a given day. There are also underground cave exploration sections as well. There is technically no time limit in these caves so you can take as much time as you need since there’s some puzzle solving involved similar to a game like Zelda.Alongside you you’ll also have a trusty space canine pup called Oatchi. This adorable puppy acts like a co captain. He can control Pikmin, fight, dig for treasure, carry items and even ride like a horse. You can also upgrade his abilities to make him much more versatile when on the field. He’s easily the best new addition to the Pikmin series.They’ve also added night expeditions which is a first for the series. These act as tower defense type sections where you have to protect a Pikmin nest for an entire night from aggressive creatures. These add a different level of strategy than daytime expeditions and can be chaotic if you don’t plan properly.Overall this is an excellent game, highly recommend it to anyone interested in a RTS or wants to play a fun game in general.

    Overall, I definitely liked this game, it was worth the money and a lot better than the third. There was a lot more content on this game than others, which I really appreciate it. It had nostalgia factor, but was also a modern game. Definitely a mix of a cosy and a fun game.

    Love the whole franchise, so was excited to get this. It has been a lot of fun so far! Good for all ages, as the portions of the game that you must beat to pass have assist options.Highly recommend

    This is a great Pikmin adventure if you like this series. The Puppy is a great addition and very helpful. But the game is way too short for the money it costs. Still one of my favorites otherwise.
